Birthday planner with Swap Central India
Swapping has become an addiction for me. I love Swap Central - they make me go outside my comfort zone to create stuff.
I made this birthday planner - below are the pictures. End of day, my dustbin was overflowing but was definitely a good experience. :)

CD banner - welcoming my daughter back home
Earlier this month, my daughter was selected to represent Mumbai for the hand ball nationals and had to travel to Srinagar. My daughter has never been away from home without me and this was the first time. I decided to welcome her back with this CD banner that I made for her. She cut short her trip by a couple of days since she flew back instead of taking the train back and so towards the end, had to hurry up this.
This banner is for my little precious child. Entering the same for the Hands 2 hearts Challenge.

Card for a Special Teacher
Here's my first card for Teacher's Day. I am submitting this for the Hands 2 Hearts Challenge. I love paisleys and when Shoma of Krafter's Kart designed some paisley stamps, I could not resist. Even the "Best Teacher" stamp is from her store.

A birthday gift to myself - a sizzix BIG SHOT :)
Last week, it was my birthday and I decided to gift myself a Big Shot and I wanted to have it with me on my birthday. I immediately thought of Shalini of Crafters Corner - I knew she would ensure that I get it on the day I wanted it. She was so sweet - when she realised, it was my birthday - she added an embossing folder as a gift to me with no extra cost. She has awesome stuff at her store and actually guides you. She will frankly tell you that this is not required at the moment - do not invest and I really like that about her.
This is my BIG SHOT - am so excited
This is my first embossed paper (I am in the process of learning the right technique) .
Happy embossing.

Swap with ICR
Last month, I participated in the first swaps (in fact 2 of them) - was very excited not only to make the swaps but also to receive them.
My first swap was for Indian Craft Room (ICR) - theme being friendship. For this swap, we had to make 2 ATC and they have to be sent to 2 different crafters and in return, you will receive 2 ATC's from 2 different crafters. Isn't that exciting?
Happy swapping,
Seema

This month was my darling daughter's birthday. And I decided to make handmade return gifts. I made a set of individualized visiting cards and a bookmark.
Thanks to Neha of A1 Craft, Eesha of Artystree Ems and my dear friend Jovita of Creativita for the materials. Without you, would not have been able to put this together.

I have seen a lot of crafters making rakhis and so here is my first attempt.
Also, happened to drop by Krafter's kart and they had these stamps especially for Rakhi and so here is my first Rakhi card. Have to work with the other Rakhi stamps too.

Crochet - i wanna perfect
Earlier last week was just surfing the net and saw these wonderful crochet flowers. Simply fell in love with them. I wanted to make those. I knew the basics of crochet - can only make basic stitches but to adapt them to a design that I did not know.
Called a couple of people who I thought would know crochet. But alas.
Finally picked up a book, the crochet hook and thread - I am now on my way to make some crochet flowers. Any idea of how they can be used.
And this is my first creation - any ideas on where to use these flowers.
Happy crocheting,
Seema
